Hidden Echology

Hidden Echology is an audio walk for two people to perform set in a world where the invisible becomes visible. It uses binaural recording, soundscapes, a voice and a GPS System to guide the participants who perform for each other and move in a borderland between a dream, reality and their own imagination. The voice leads the participants, two and two together from Färgfabriken in Stockholm, and after awhile they will be directed to go on their own path, a path where the subconscious and reality slowly melt together.
A dreamlike narrative that casts down our reference points and our perception of things. An urban experience that gives the opportunity to stand face to face with stories that are hidden in the streets. The participants are encouraged to both listen and see the city in a poetic light and they become aware of sounds that do not belong to the that particular place, recorded memories of others who have walked here before, and they get instructions to leave a trace of themselves. The traces of the audience is recorded and projected onto a grey wall inside the exhibition, a new map of the area, a sensory map that show the emotional and psychological path of the participants.
